About Allopartis
Allopartis Biotechnologies was founded in 2008 to develop tailored industrial biocatalysts. Allopartis subsequently developed a complete platform to optimize a range of protein targets. Located in San Francisco's Mission Bay Innovation Corridor, Allopartis packs a lot of science into a small space. Using tiny droplets, Allopartis scientists search for the very best proteins by performing billions of reactions in a single tube.
Markets and Products
Allopartis is committed to improving, changing, and identifying new customer-specific proteins. The company’s first pre-commercial product is targeted at the renewable chemical and biofuel production market. AlloZyme 8 exhibits dramatically improved cellulolytic activity resulting in more usable sugar with less enzyme.
Investment
In late 2008, Allopartis received seed-level funding from the CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund and X/Seed Capital Management. In 2009, we were awarded three Phase I SBIRs from the DOE, NSF, and USDA and in 2010 a Phase II award from the DOE.
